I've tried a single SSD and HDD on default settings already to no avail. Also, when installing/reinstalling be sure that you have connected only the HDD on which you want to do the install. I had these problem before so I just shut down the machine and tighten up the 500GB HDD's SATA data and power cable and power on the PC.. The stuff is rediculously thick.
