I've read several responses and tried a few things that were not listed. Atx Power Supply 5v Standby Be sure to place the switch EXACTLY the way it was. The ps is almost two years old while the motherboard is only about three months old.

How long this has been happening, what you have loaded or updated etc... While you have the case open, clean out the dust bunnies and the heat sinks and fans.
