I have never seen a fuse on a computer cord. You should be able to plug/unplug the charger in either order, or leave it plugged in while not connected to the laptop. Of course, I immediately unplugged the power supply cable from the outlet. what i might do is keep everything just the way it is keep all the parts for a week or two and then decide if im going to RMA, I most It's the initial inrush current charging up the capacitors inside the power supply which causes a small spark as the connection to power is made if the PSU switch is already Alternatively, most power supplies have a power supply test button somewhere on the case, often just below the info label. I ordered a new powersupply, but I guess I wanna know if this has happened to anyone else, and if it causd them any more problems? My Computer Popped And Turned Off Even if it works now... Cant be the power supply as it runs fine with my partners cable.
Is there a way to get the PSU started without being attached to CPU, mobo, RAM, and hard drive?

- There's a lot of power conditioning going on in there to clean up the power to be clean enough for a micro controller.
