I am afraid to assume this is fixed and can’t find any advice/solutions that go beyond the ‘chkdsk /p(r)’ and ‘fixboot commands, and am worried my problem is deeper than that I am downloading this now but is this what I need? Either use an external drive and unplug it when you are online, or use a second computer for the Internet and transfer files from it after you download them.
